Dave is the Innovation Manager at the Research Centre on Zero Emission Neighbourhoods (ZEN) in Smart Cities, where they create solutions for the zero emission buildings and neighbourhoods of the future.
Together with their public and industry partners, they have developed 9 test areas («pilot projects»), which are spread all over Norway.
Dave is a sustainability expert with a specialism in sustainable facilities management, green leasing, green leases, and other aspects of the sustainable built environment.
Originally from Wales in the United Kingdom, Dave has a PhD in Sustainable Facilities Management from the Centre for Real Estate and Facilities Management in the Department of Architecture and Planning at NTNU in Trondheim in Norway.
Dave also has a Bachelor in Politics and Modern History from Cardiff University completed in 2007, as well as a Master in Globalisation, Global Politics and Culture from NTNU completed in 2014. He also worked for SINTEF Technology and Society during the last year of his Master.
Prior to his move to Norway, Dave worked for nearly 5 years for a British Member of Parliament.
His research has primarily been focused on how users impact on the sustainability of non-residential buildings, with a particular focus on the rental sector in Norway and the United Kingdom.
Dave also has 7 article publications in major conferences and academic journals
